Maternity Services - Total Care for Mom and Baby     St. Joseph's Maternity has maintained a track record of excellence in doctor-assisted births for over 85 years. We are committed to ensuring that both mother and child are given the very best care before, during, and after birth, through technologically sound facilities and highly qualified medical staff. We embrace the philosophy of "Wholistic Care", therefore every need or desire that a mother would want for herself and her newborn is catered to. With this in mind, we have repackaged our services to address not only the medical needs of our patients, but also their mental and psychological needs. The comfort of our patient is key, especially for a momentous occasion like the birth of a child. Our rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they are all fitted with televisions and telephones. Our private rooms are air-conditioned and have their own bathroom. Each room has a fabulous décor, which helps to make the surrounding room more relaxing. Before the Birth     Lamaze classes, held weekly, with partners encouraged to participate.   Parent Craft classes to provide mothers with important information on how to properly care for their child and themselves.   Special information booklets on everything a mother needs to know from conception to birth. During the Birthing Process     A highly-qualified doctor and well-trained midwife assists with the birth.   The Paediatrician is in attendance   Emergency room facilities for you and your baby if the need should arise.   Partners encouraged to share in the birth process.   Rooming-in facilities for your partner by special arrangement. After the Birth     Mothers are pampered by the Hospital's cosmetologist who provides each mother with a hairdo and a choice of a manicure or pedicure.   We also take the first photograph of your child which is presented to you in a beautiful frame. St. Joseph's Hospital Midwives Clinic In addition to the traditional private doctor delivery, the hospital also offers a Midwives Clinic to low-risk patients. This clinic offers a cost-effective alternative for individuals who otherwise might not be able to afford private birth facilities. The package is all-inclusive and covers all a mother requires from conception to birth. To ensure affordability, the package offers a flexible payment plan and allows for reimbursement by your insurance company. The package includes:     Ante-natal visits conducted by both doctors and midwives   All required blood works   Ultra Sound   Postnatal Visit and Pap Smear   Hospital stay   Paediatric check before discharge   Lamaze and Parent Craft classes
